Christmas in Australia has its own feeling.
It is bright mornings, warm afternoons, long lunches, salty skin after a swim and the sound of family arriving at the door. It is very different from the snowy Christmases we see in films, and that is exactly what makes it special.
At Harvey & Co. Sydney®, we think Christmas fragrance should capture the memories that make an Australian Christmas feel like home.
A Christmas by the coast
For many of us, Christmas means sunshine, beaches and an afternoon that stretches into a warm summer evening. That is the feeling behind Bondi Christmas, our festive candle inspired by an Australian Christmas spent near the water.
It is a fragrance made for Christmas lunches, open windows, laughter around the table and the small moments you remember long after the decorations are packed away.
The familiar scents of the season
Some Christmas memories are all about food. Gingerbread, Christmas Pudding, Cinnamon Scroll and Biscoff bring a warm, sweet and comforting feeling to the season.
They are the scents of something baking in the kitchen, a table set for guests and a home that feels ready for Christmas.
For a more traditional festive feeling, Pine Trees and Mulled Wine bring the richness and warmth people love at this time of year.
A Christmas that feels like home
Scent has a wonderful way of bringing a memory back. It might be a place you love, a family tradition or simply the feeling of being together.
That is why a Christmas candle makes such a thoughtful gift. It is more than something beautiful for the home. It can become part of someone’s Christmas story, lit while wrapping presents, preparing lunch or relaxing after a busy day.
A very Australian Christmas tree
Christmas memories do not only come from fragrance. Our Australian Christmas Decorations celebrate the places and wildlife that make Australia feel like home.
From koalas and cockatoos to the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, each one brings a little colour and character to the tree. They are lovely for your own home, a Kris Kringle gift or as a keepsake for someone living overseas.
