Wombats Poo In Cubes (Book)
Our series aims to inspire and encourage the younger generations into developing a love and passion for our unique Australian wildlife.
In our first journey together, we take a look into the life of Winston the Wombat as he discovers why his poo is so different to his friends. His inquisitive nature will entertain and educate your little one as they go on this adventure with Winston!
Each book in our series gives you a glimpse into the lives of the different species we have in Australia, painted with fun veterinary facts and engaging stories! We hope everyone will learn more about the animals we are so passionate about.
All of our stories are inspired by real life experiences working with Aussie animals and their carers.
We hope you all fall in love with our wildlife the way we have!
See below for a bit more of a background into our lives and why we are so passionate about our Aussie wildlife friends big and small.
Dr Audrey Shen BVSc (hons)
Dr Audrey Shen is a small animal and wildlife veterinarian. Graduating in 2005 from Sydney University, Audrey developed a huge love and adoration for all animals big and small.
Audrey has featured on the Australian TV kid’s show “Get Clever” and is one of the Veterinarians featured on the popular “Bondi Vet” TV series featured on Channel 9, Nat Geo and multiple TV networks worldwide.
During the 2019-2020 black bushfires, Audrey and her team dedicated their time volunteering and rescuing our wildlife. It is here her love for Aussie wildlife really bloomed. Audrey set up a volunteer non- for- profit hospital in Bungendore, Possumwood Wildlife and Recovery Centre. She continues to devote her time and extensive veterinary knowledge in aiding, rehabilitating and releasing these beautiful animals
Audrey has a big love for education. She shares her passion for Veterinary Medicine with many kids, teaching at her Future Vet Kids Camp, an Australian school holiday program designed for aspiring Veterinarians. Animals and Kids are a huge part of her life and she hopes to share the love for her job through her children’s books series.
Briana Heinrich (RVN)
Brie is a qualified, registered veterinary nurse (RVN) and Practice Manager with a strong passion and love for all Aussie wildlife. Graduating in 2017 she dove head first into her veterinary career and has been working alongside Audrey for many years now.
Originally Brie was going to become a teacher - in a way becoming an author has combined both of her passions, animals and educating the future generations.
Similarly to Audrey, she hopes to inspire all generations especially the younger generations to love, adore and protect our Aussie wildlife.
Brie lives in Sydney, Australia with her handsome cavalier, Harley, he is her absolute world! Although she would love to take home a wombat to keep as a pet if she could!
